Owner Megan Austin of The Open Shelf Books (currently in a pop-up at Village Forager) will open a permanent location on Lebanon Road in Mt. Juliet in late Sept or early Oct and plans to promote literacy by giving free books to middle and high school students.

Last Friday, the Blue Devils routed the Raiders 49-14 at Clifton Tribble Field (Danny Watkins Stadium) as they surged to a 42-0 first-quarter lead and improved to a 2-1 record.
Wilson Central's home opener ended in a 34-3 loss to Coffee County Central in Gladeville.
Coach Josh Knipfel saw his team struggle as junior punter Alex Maley (called seven times) could not overcome turnovers and fumbles.
The Golden Bears won 30-0 over the Commanders at Roger Perry Field on Friday during their homecoming game.
Senior quarterback Yonas Gizaw threw and ran for three touchdowns in the season’s first win after two opening losses.
